Leah Everson on Studying Literary Context

Leah Everson is a Redbud Writers Guild colleague of mine with a sharp mind. We’ve only met virtually thus far, but sometimes that’s all you need to appreciate and connect with someone on certain levels. Today, as part of our Best Practices series, Leah is introducing us to one of my favorite parts of the Bible study process: analyzing the literary context of a passage. I had originally scheduled this post for the “One Thing You Can Use in Your Bible Study Today” series over at the natalieeastman.com blog. But I realized it’s much more of a how-to supporting what […]

Interview about WLB with Suzanne Burden

by Natalie
Suzanne Burden, author of Reclaiming Eve, interviewed me about Women, Leadership, and the Bible: How Do I Know What to Believe? early this spring (2015). The discussion went really well, but the recording/tech didn’t! But she managed to salvage this. Enjoy! Click here to see the video interview and read Suzanne’s post.

In fact, this year’s effort will be much more than “just” a book tour, if that were possible. Here’s what’s involved: July 3–9—Blog Tour, a series of blog interviews and posts hosted by various active Christian bloggers and authors July 9—Blog-and-Book Tour Road Trip Kickoff Party July 9—Official Launch of Biblical Breakthrough! Online […]

Columbus Marathon Fundraiser Meet Chamba and Linda

by Natalie
Hi Friends, Tomorrow morning, David will do his final training run for the Columbus Marathon! Friday will be a long walk, but that’ll be the final training before Sunday morning. I won’t get to go watch him this year, as I’ll be in NYC speaking about my book for a group there. Obviously, I’m extremely excited about that opportunity, yet still sad I’ll miss the excitement of the marathon atmosphere, our family racing from point to point to catch a glimpse of him and others we know running, and – of course – David crossing the finish line once again! […]
