Hi Friends, Tomorrow morning, David will do his final training run for the Columbus Marathon! Friday will be a long walk, but that’ll be the final training before Sunday morning. I won’t get to go watch him this year, as I’ll be in NYC speaking about my book for a group there. Obviously, I’m extremely excited about that opportunity, yet still sad I’ll miss the excitement of the marathon atmosphere, our family racing from point to point to catch a glimpse of him and others we know running, and – of course – David crossing the finish line once again! […]

Good morning! The first Facebook giveaway of my book Women, Leadership, and the Bible: How Do I Know What to Believe? was so much fun and I received so many wonderful responses from people that we’re giving away another copy of it! Tonight I was surprised and more-than-a-little giddy to learn that Women, Leadership, and the Bible is #49 on the Kindle Best Sellers list for its category (exegesis and hermeneutics) and is ranked at ~93K among all of Amazon books for the print version! My husband, David, happened to come into the house about ten seconds after I saw that and, like a slap-happy schoolgirl, I waved him upstairs and excitedly pointed to my computer screen. He lovingly cheered and said, “Congratulations! (You’re 500-thousand higher than the last time I checked on my book’s rank!)” 93K may not sound all that […]
